Speximo reinforce the collaboration with Biofilms Research Center for Biointerfaces, Malmö University, having long experience and expertise covering formulation, biomembrane permeability, bioavailability and in vitro and in vivo evaluation.
The two intensive days at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry during SCS Formulate 2015 were filled with seminars, meetings and networking activities.

The Speximo technology and benefits in skin care formulations/emulsified systems is presented. This includes compatibility with oils of very different polarity, and with commonly used preservatives. Cosmetic feel as measured in a sensory panel test is included and shows a superior afterfeel. Also read more about stability of formulations and safety of the product.
A formulation based on Speximo´s technology and EQMULSETM particles had a significantly better afterfeel in terms of reduced greasiness, stickiness and residual coating compared to the reference product. This was also the overall preferred sample.
Speximo was selected as one out of six innovative start-up companies to present the company and how it fit the regional strategy to reach the visions of Skane - The most innovative region in Europe by 2020. The program was part of Skane Innovation Week and the general theme was sustainability from an economic, social and ecologic perspective. See the program (in Swedish).
Research collaborations with Lund University and North Dakota State University has recently resulted in new publications (see under Technology:Research). Evaluations have been performed regarding encapsulation and barrier properties of Speximo´s technology as well as regarding emulsification and digestibility of starch based emulsions.
Presently Speximo has engaged Ecevit Yilmaz, to enhance the business development activities.
Successful transfer of process from lab to pilot scale was performed in a GMP facility during 2014. By solving critical technical issues Speximo and collaborators managed to scale up the production, and have now continued towards the next phase.
This week Speximo moved in to our new lab and office space at Lund Life Science Incubator, Medicon Village. We are happy to now have newer and more functional work space!
Speximo has been selected to present at the European Food Venture Forum, taking place on the 3rd and 4th September 2014 in Aarhus, Denmark. At this event high-growth companies, technology corporations, and international investors participate to meet, exchange knowledge and build business co-operations.
